Where We Started

A heart for RockforD

In 2022, the city of Rockford announced an initiative focused on six neighborhoods – those most negatively affected by crime. Three of the six neighborhoods were in the 13th Ward of Rockford.

The vision was two-fold:

• Providing well-constructed environments
• Connecting residents to necessary services for their overall betterment

Now, we want to continue the work that has been started. Our goal is to develop a permanent building located in these under-resourced neighborhoods. That way, we can provide consistent support.

Through our community partners, relationship with residents and volunteers, providing food and resources, as well as education, we believe we can help break the cycle of poverty and bring hope and help where it is desperately needed.
